We have built over 360 primary and secondary schools all over Cambodia funded by donors with matching funds from the World and Asian Development Banks.
These are on land donated by villages and become state schools staffed by state teachers following the Ministry of Education curriculumn. We are adding value by providing Internet connection and teaching the children English and computer skills. Each of more than 80 schools already have such teachers working for us. We are in the process of more than doubling this number. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified young Cambodian teachers to join a Cambodian-like Peace Corps, like those in the US, Japan and some other countries, to provide humanitarian service that will reduce poverty and affer an opportunity to less privileged children to enjoy a better life in the future.
Anyone joining our "Peace Corps" with a contract of at least one year will earn $60 a month in salary plus $60 in food and housing and transportation from Phnom Penh. Teachers close to Phnom Penh may cmmute on weekends to attend classes at university. Our team will also have the opportunity to compete towards study scholarships, participate in training workshops, receive a prestigious certificate from our organization and, based on dedication and performece,
a strong recommendation to future employers attesting our candidates honorably served their country and attesting to their skills.
The success rate of such Peace Corps members in other countries is very high. In the US, many have become congressmen and key managers of top-rated companies. Don't miss this opportunity to serve Cambodia and then enjoy a fruitful future career.
If you know English, have computer skills and are interested, please provide your cv and short essay outlining your interest in this program. Contact Sok Chamroeurn by e-mail to chamroeurn@cambodiadaily.com, fax to 023 883 953 or call 012 509 901.
